I think the difference is that when you get friendzoned after like 20th time, you learn to just say "no" to friendship and walk away. When you are getting friendzoned the first time, you are usually just really unexperienced boy who still believes that he still has a chance, because "she says she doesn't like assholes, she said she doesn't care about looks and she said she wants a guy who'd treat her nice, that's me, so she'll want me". No, she won't. Better to learn it as soon as possible.
