Caught because of snails
China A doctoral student study in Hong Kong was arrested for suspicion of animal abuse, after sprinkling salt on three snails.
Hong Kong police received a news that a man sprinkled salt on natural snails at a local fountain on August 4.
Hong Kong police arrested Hong Kong Polytechnic University study on August 16.
The snails on the grass then died of dehydration, only the shell left.
According to police, cruel treatment with animals is serious crime that cannot be used in Hong Kong.
