Cá hồi chiên sả ớt cay thơm với những khoanh cá hồi chiên chín cùng hỗn hợp sả ớt giã nát và những lát ngải bún, tiêu xanh. Món ăn cay thơm này thích hợp cho những bữa cơm ngày mưa.
Trước tiên, cho 3 trái ớt nhỏ, 3 tép tỏi, 1 củ hành tím cắt nhỏ, 1 cây sả cắt nhỏ vào cối, dùng chày giã nát vài phút. Sau đó thêm 3 lá chanh và 1/4 muỗng cà phê mắm ruốc, tiếp tục giã thêm vài phút cho đến khi mọi thứ được trộn với nhau. Tiếp theo đun nóng 3 muỗng canh dầu ăn trong chảo trên lửa cao. Một khi chảo nóng thêm hỗn hợp vừa giã vào, xào khoảng 30 giây.
Bây giờ thêm 200g thịt cá hồi (cắt thành những khoanh mỏng) vào, xào trong khoảng 2 phút, cẩn thận không làm vỡ chúng! Tiếp theo, thêm 20g ngải bún thái lát, 1 muỗng canh hạt tiêu xanh, 2 trái ớt sừng đỏ thái lát lớn, 1 muỗng canh nước mắm và 3/4 muỗng cà phê đường. Sau đó, xào tất cả mọi thứ trong khoảng 5 phút cho đến khi các miếng cá hồi được nấu chín và chín vàng. Cuối cùng tắt bếp, thêm lá húng quế vào, trộn đều lên.
